Stourport swiftly dominate Wood as Wolves grab a sporting chance
It seems Walsall Wood FC’s run of good fortune has come to a hopefully temporary halt – On Saturday 2nd December 2017 they faced Stourport away, and lost; but also suffered a defeat on the following Tuesday at Oak Park to Wolves Sporting.

Walsall Wood Reserves blather Bolehall – and some important news for Pelsall Villans!
The young David Evans yesterday (Saturday, 30th September 2017) attended the Walsall Wood reserves home match at Oak Park, and watched the Wood lads blather Bolehall eight-nil – but in a surprise development, this barnstormer seems to be the last game for the reserves for at least this season.

The Memo – what’s going on?
I’ve been contacted by some very worried users of the Memorial Hall or ‘Memo’ in Lichfield Road, Brownhills who are very concerned about recent developments there.

Stuck in a rut – beware, folks – the deer are getting horny….
This is just a quick note to warn people given to exploring the open spaces of the area that over the next 8-10 weeks or so the deer population will be getting amorous – it’s rutting time for our large brown friends, and that means one thing: the heaths around Brownhills, Clayhanger, Pelsall and Chasewater in particular are likely to be host to rather grumpy, aggressive stags guarding their female harems.
