There was a very nasty car accident on the Walsall Wood/Brownhills border last night (Wednesday 14th March 2018) when a car crashed into the former butcher’s shop on the corner of Pauls Coppice and Lindon Road, just opposite the derelict Wheel Inn pub.

Paramedics cars broken into in Walsall Wood – can you help please?
This is an urgent appeal for help from the West Midlands Ambulance paramedic staff that currently operate out of the old Walsall Wood Library at the junction of High Street and Coppice Road – last night (Friday, 9th March 2018) their vehicles were broken into and medical supplies stolen.

Woodmen battle Paget Rangers to take league top spot
Walsall Wood have enjoyed a reversal of fortunes this season – apart from a hiccup earlier in the season, they have been resurgent, and consolidated their good form by beating Paget Rangers yesterday (Saturday 6th January 2018) on the Astroturf at Church Road, taking them to the top of the league.

Woodmen make big noise in the City
The Woodemen were again on stonking form on Saturday last (30th December 2017) as they travelled down the road to Lichfield City to show the Lichfeldians a clean set of heels for the second time in recent weeks – it’s not often we get to best Ye Olde City.

Must say, it’s nice to be featuring reports of Walsall Wood FC getting back on their winning run – yesterday, Saturday 23rd December 2017 they travelled to Tamworth to face Bolehall, and after a good-spirited match they came away the victors, again by a considerable margin.

It was back to winning for Walsall Wood FC on Wednesday last (20th December 2017) as they travelled up the A461 to Lichfield and decisively beat Lichfield City FC in their W Hunt Cup fixture.

Ilkeston put the freeze on Walsall Wood
No doubt Bill Shaw would chastise me for saying this, but more bad news for the Walsall Wood faithful on Saturday last as they travelled to Ilkeston Town FC, and played a bold match – which I thought would be curtailed by the weather – only to lose 3-2.
