Van break-in at Lindon Close – please look out for stolen tools
Sadly, yet another vehicle break-in in Brownhills has occurred last night, in Lindon Close when a local tradesman had tools and equipment stolen from his fan between the hours of 7pm last night and 8am today, Saturday 23rd January 2016.

Peculiar door-to-door caller operating in Brownhills: Be on your guard
A strange one reaches me via Facebook and friend of the blog Julie; it seems there’s an odd door-to-door scam operating in Brownhills at the moment – a lady calls at your door, and when you answer, doesn’t speak but points to a clipboard or paper with something printed on it.

Beware – bogus Police Officers spotted in Shire Oak
I notice yet again issues locally with bogus callers and con merchants preying on the elderly and vulnerable – and now there have been reports that in the St. Marks Road area of Shire Oak in the last few days, people posing as police officers have been operating.

Van break-in in Shire Oak – be on the lookout, please
Sad to report another vehicle break in in Shire Oak – this time at the Quantock Close end of Commonside, in which tools and a laptop were stolen from a van on the night of Friday 2nd/Saturday 3rd October 2015.

Bogus gardeners conning the elderly in Brownhills – be vigilant
I was contacted yesterday by a local lady who is very concerned and upset that her mother was conned by bogus ‘gardeners’ who claimed to have done work on her communal garden, and then charged an extortionate fee.

Mill Road violent assault: Brothers sentenced to 10 years each
Readers may recall that last July, there was a violent assault when two men burst into a house in Mill Road, Brownhills, and violently attacked the householder – the two attackers have just been sentenced to 10 years in jail for the attack.

Tool burglary in Clayhanger: did you see these lads?
You may recall that last week, I appealed for help from readers following the van burglary that took place at Clayhanger, during the early hours of Thursday 4th September 2014 – tools and equipment were stolen, including screw/nail guns and a radio from a van parked on the owner’s driveway on the Allerdale Estate in Clayhanger.

Browhills canal assault: police issue statement
Yesterday I posted a warning and appeal for information after a local lady walking her two dogs was assaulted on the section of canal in Brownhills between the Lichfield Road and Chase Road Bridges: this area is at the side of the Castings factory, and often called ‘The Chemical’.

Nasty robbery in Aldridge on Wednesday – police appeal for help
This is a nasty one – if anyone has any information, please do come forward and contact Walsall Police or Crimestoppers – It seems that just after 4pm on Wednesday (12th March 2014), a pair of thugs robbed two chaps who were sat in their car near Aldridge Post Office in Northgate, near the town centre.
