Man suffers head injury following serious incident in Walsall Wood
Yesterday evening, Wednesday 12th July 2017, there was a serious incident in Walsall Wood High Street, believed to have taken place outside the Boatman’s Rest pub which saw a heavy emergency services response, including an armed police unit and the West Midlands Police helicopter.

Mill Road violent assault: Brothers sentenced to 10 years each
Readers may recall that last July, there was a violent assault when two men burst into a house in Mill Road, Brownhills, and violently attacked the householder – the two attackers have just been sentenced to 10 years in jail for the attack.

Browhills canal assault: police issue statement
Yesterday I posted a warning and appeal for information after a local lady walking her two dogs was assaulted on the section of canal in Brownhills between the Lichfield Road and Chase Road Bridges: this area is at the side of the Castings factory, and often called ‘The Chemical’.

Man appears in court for attempted child abduction
The following statement has been made by West Midlands Police in relation to the incident with the young girl last weekend – since the arrest of a suspect, also noted in these pages, he has appeared before Magistrates and been remanded in custody.
