Yesterday evening, Wednesday 12th July 2017, there was a serious incident in Walsall Wood High Street, in which a man suffered a head injury – Brigg Ford from West Midlands Police has just issued the following statement:
Yesterday evening, Wednesday 12th July 2017, there was a serious incident in Walsall Wood High Street, believed to have taken place outside the Boatman’s Rest pub which saw a heavy emergency services response, including an armed police unit and the West Midlands Police helicopter.
Following reports of an indecent exposure incident that took place yesterday afternoon (Monday, 12th September 2016) as two schoolgirls were walking home in the Watling Street area of Brownhills, I have obtained the following statement from West Midlands Police.
There are reports locally that an indecent exposure incident took place yesterday afternoon (Monday, 12th September 2016) as two schoolgirls were walking home in the Watling Street area of Brownhills.
There are reports circulating on social media locally that at attempted indecent assault took place yesterday evening (Friday, 4th December 2015) on the Pelsall Road in Brownhills.
Readers may recall that last July, there was a violent assault when two men burst into a house in Mill Road, Brownhills, and violently attacked the householder – the two attackers have just been sentenced to 10 years in jail for the attack.
Readers may well be aware from social media and local gossip that a man was seriously attacked in a house in Mill Road, Brownhills in the early hours of last Saturday morning (26th July 2014).
Yesterday I posted a warning and appeal for information after a local lady walking her two dogs was assaulted on the section of canal in Brownhills between the Lichfield Road and Chase Road Bridges: this area is at the side of the Castings factory, and often called ‘The Chemical’.

The following statement has been made by West Midlands Police in relation to the incident with the young girl last weekend – since the arrest of a suspect, also noted in these pages, he has appeared before Magistrates and been remanded in custody.
