Across the rooftops
This remarkable panorama was created by reader and friend of the blog Steve Wilcox, who painstakingly constructed it from multiple images shot from a tower block in Leamore, near Bloxwich.

Cycling trivialities
Thanks to everyone who took time to express opinions on my navel gazing contemplation on completion of my 365daysofbiking goal. I really was touched by the unexpectedly large amount of goodwill expressed about the project by a hugely diverse range of commentors. The compliments, encouragement and kindness are not something I’ll readily forget.

Synchronicity…
It’s funny how some things coincide. Last Monday (5th September) on my 365daysofbiking Tumblr, I posted a photograph of the now-closed Mango Tree restaurant on the Chester Road, near Stonnall. In a coincidence of extraordinary happenstance, later in the week … Continue reading

Dawn of a new season
Some photos are too good to keep to the 365daysofbiking blog, and this is one of them. Not so much the quality of the image, but what it encapsulates. After a depressing weekend spent lamenting the awful weather and drop … Continue reading

Just hangin’ around
After a dreadful, lost day that should have been at work, but wasn’t, a day of missed connections, misunderstandings and tension, I called a halt and headed for a cafe near Sutton. After tea, reflection and a few phone calls … Continue reading

The ‘wiching hour
After a bad start to the day, the evening of Saturday, 16th July was glorious. After the heavy rain of the morning, the air was clear and warm, and there was a stiff but refreshing breeze. Escaping for a golden … Continue reading

Summer’s cauldron
Although it might not feel like it, summer is in full swing. After a very dry start, recent rains have energised mother nature and flowers, insects and animals seem at the very height of their activity. Verges, commons, hedgerows and … Continue reading

I’ve just posted the following to my #30daysofbiking tumblr blog. I’m having so much fun recording a daily cycling journal, that I’ve decided to continue after taking a straw poll on twatter last night. I’m interested to know what readers … Continue reading

I just wanted to point out to regular blog readers who don’t follow me on twatter or Facebook that I’m taking part in the ‘30 Days of Biking‘ project. The idea is that you ride your bike every single day … Continue reading
