News, reports and even video from Walsall Wood FC – and a fitting tribute to a great man!
Well, it’s been a busy old time down at Oak Park Football Club, home of Walsall Wood FC – the overall season has started as usual before the official one with a series of warm-up ‘friendly’ matches and a rejuvenated, revitalised team with new management have squared off against a couple of higher ranking clubs with good performances.

Laptop and Xbox stolen in Brownhills burglary – please keep a lookout

Walsall Wood FC away matches this afternoon!
I’m not terribly clear what’s happening exactly, but there are two Walsall Wood friendly away matches scheduled this afternoon; one at Lichfield City listed kickoff 3pm and another against Wolverhampton Sporting CFC at Great Wyrley also listed also for 3pm – I believe it’s two separate teams, whether the Great Wyrley game is a youth team or something, I can’t seem to ascertain.

2015 Chasewater Grand Prix – this weekend!
I’ll be perfectly honest here – I know very little about this, but for those that do, this is apparently quite a weekend for the powerboat community as Saturday and Sunday see the PowerBoatGP 2015 Chasewater Grand Prix at our favourite reservoir and country park.
