Bill Shaw’s 2015 Walsall Wood FC presentation dinner report
Crossed wires last weekend when a collection of photos from Walsall Wood Football Club’s Presentation Dinner arrived from David Evans and I published them, not realising a writeup was due from Bill Shaw, which arrived later in the week – sorry chaps, hopefully this should rectify things.

Walsall Wood FC – 22 years ago…
Here’s something I recently came by in a charity shop in Brownhills – it’s the match day program for Walsall Wood FC versus Raunds Town FC, played at Oak Park at 3pm, Saturday 31st August 1991 The cover price was 40p, and this is a hefty 20 page A4 magazine with lots of content.

Pride of the Wood – good luck, lads!
Walsall Wood Football Club today play Guernsey FC away, in a re-run of the match last week at Oak Park that ended in a gripping stalemate 0-0 draw. Walsall Wood have generally been on a bit of a winning streak lately, and beating the boys in green is not an impossibility.

Good luck to Walsall Wood FC
Andy Roper from Walsall Wood Football Club has been online drumming up support for the club’s upcoming match against Guernsey FC. Our small local team have been on a bit of a winning streak lately, and by all accounts this promises to be a bit of a David and Goliath epic, and I’m sure everyone in the Midlands is behind the boys from Up The Wood.
