Walsall Wood draw with The Mikes yet again!
Last Tuesday evening (3rd March 2015), Walsall Wood FC played Boldmere St. Michaels at Oak Park and the match was yet another goalless draw, much to the frustration of Bill Shaw, who submitted the following match report:

The weather wins as Walsall Wood draw with The Mikes
Boxing Day afternoon (26th December 2014), Walsall Wood F.C. played Boldmere St. Michaels at Oak Park and the match sadly ended early in a draw due to the inclement weather, a decision which caused some surprise in the crowd.

Stuck in there real good, that is…
Some weeks ago I raised the story of the football stuck in the decorative cross on the roof of St. Michael’s Church in Caldmore, Walsall – last weekend, twitter top bloke and all round good egg @BillytheBez answered my plea and took a couple of pictures, confirming the decades-old ball was still lodged firmly where only birds and steeplejacks dare.
