Search continues for ‘Bill’ Baker – more information now available
Ive been trying for a while to get any information on, or contact William John Baker, once resident in Walsall Wood for a while now, and as news information comes to light, I periodically re-run the appeal for the reader trying to locate him – last month they found a picture of Bill, above.

The search for Willian ‘Bill’ Baker – anyone recognise this photo please?
Last year I ran an appeal here to find a chap called William John Baker, once resident in Walsall Wood – well, the person who asked is still searching for him, and has found a photo which I feature above – note that this isn’t the William Edward Baker who used to work at Ryford in Aldridge.

Looking for William John Baker please
Hi folks – this is one of those enquiries we get from time to time from readers – I’m interested in contact details for William John Baker it is thought was born in 1943, and was either a son of Walsall Wood, or lived there for a while, and certainly around 1965.

The estate we’re in
I had an interesting email from reader and top local history technician Andy Dennis a couple of weeks ago that expands on a recent topic beautifully: that of William Roberts and his empire.

Outdoor cookery with Mrs. Parsley
An email finds me from David Evans, containing a rather wonderful image he’s spotted in an Alton Douglas book that he’s like to know more about – it surely is a cracker and I’d love to know more about these ladies and what they were up to.
