Thank you all for your wonderful response to my request last weekend to contact William John Baker, once resident in Walsall Wood.
It is thought William was born in 1943, and was either a son of Walsall Wood, or lived there for a while, and certainly around 1965.
Any further details for William would be a huge help, please. This is not bad news and there’s absolutely nothing to worry about, but it would be nice if we could get in touch.
I give you my word that I will not share personal details without the permission of those involved. This is one of those enquiries I get from time to time here on the blog, which I’m happy to run, but I can’t actually give information about publicly.
Cheers to those who’ve helped so far. You’re wonderful, thanks.
Mail me please: BrownhillsBob at Googlemail dot com.
Thanks
Bobk
I wandered into a world of old age.Among weakened bodies. each a book .each a page.I saw searching eyes for loved ones recognise .Listened as they wandered. each memory a prize.Andthen as Istood there .I thought what do I see .Not adventure and hard work.a branch of lifes family tree. Yes these feeble old bodies are not what they seem .They were once full of glory and part of lifes dream. GRANDMA .GRANDAD .MASTER AND MISS. All full of stories and all full of bliss.Young sometimes scoff .when old folk re live .The antics and pranks when they were a kid How many remark OH THAT SILLY OLD FOOL .forgetting that once .HE or SHE was gods tool That helped pave the way of our treasures today And we must not foreget its a path of our way Yes as I looked and my mind wandered on.Those feeble old bodies in glorious wonder shone They are pages of history and proud we should be That we are branches of their family tree god bless them
