This is just a quick request for help – last year, we crowdsourced from readers a list of local Remembrance parades and events taking place throughout the area, that was popular and useful to many of the readership.
I’d like to match last year’s list if I can.
If you can supply details for Brownhills, Walsall Wood or other local parades, please comment here. It’s strange that they’re so hard to get information for.

Remembrance sunday service in Rushall. 10:45 outside the library, followed by service in the little church across the road. (Between bookies and off licence). Everybody welcome.
Remembrance Service in Pelsall, parade leaves the Scout Hut from 10.15am, Church at 10.30-10.40am, service at the Cenotaph at 11am. Everyone welcome
Remembrance Service in Aldridge…….. Assemble at the community Centre on the fields behind Morrisons bordered by Leighswood Road and Middlemore Lane, assemble 10.00 onwards with a parade leaving at 10.30am to arrive at Aldridge Parish Church 10.45 ish, short service outside of thanks prior to 11.00am with hymns and speeches post 11.00am.
Surrounding roads, as usual, will be closed off for the period approx 10.30 till noon.

After reading Ray’s entry below I realised I had forgotten to say it is being held on the 9th November and is organised by the Aldridge Branch of the Royal British Legion………. apologies
I am the Clerk for Heath Hayes and Wimblebury Council. Our Remembrance Sunday event is on 9th November. Meeting at the Constitutional Club in Hednesford Road, Heath Hayes at 9.30am, there will be a procession to the Bourne Methodist Church at 9.45am. Service there at 10.00am. Then there will be a march to Five Ways Island an the silence and readings at the Memorial Gates at 11.00am.
Everyone is welcome to attend. If you would like to help with marshalling, please let me know on clerk@heathhayes.staffslc.gov.uk.
