Van break-ins in Ogley Hay and Shire Oak: Beware, folks.

Beware is you down a van in Shire Oak and the wider Brownhills area. Imagery from Google Maps.

A quick warning to people with vans and appeal to folk in Brownhills for information – On Monday night into Tuesday Morning (15-16th April 2018), there were at least two break-in into vans in the town; one in the Ogley Road area and another in Shire Oak.

There appear to have been three offenders in both cases, and the Ogley Road report suggests they may have been in a Burgundy coloured, medium sized van.

During the break in at Shire Oak they were disturbed and sped off. This would have been at around 1:30 to 2:00am.

These scumbags have targeted someone trying to earn a living. It’s heartbreaking and my sympathies for the loss.

The people doing this are more than likely doing it to raise cash from the proceeds of selling what they steal. If you know of anyone hawking around gear that seems to be dubious, please grub them into the police – the stuff they’re flogging is probably nicked.

Meanwhile, West Midlands Police have recovered the following tools in an unrelated seizure in Darlaston and are trying to find the owners. Check out the video and Facebook post embedded below.

Anyone with information is urged to contact West Midlands Police by dialling 101 or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

I also had my van stolen the same night. The police suspect the same three people. Fortunately a witness came forward and gave a statement with a possible suspect to the police in my instance so you never know there may be some action in this case.
