As Ive not been back there for years…Was the Warreners pulled down..? Whats there now..?
Hi Nick.
The Warreners – nicknamed ‘MacWarreners’ after it’s period as a burger joint – is closed and decaying badly. Very little has changed since I wrote this:

…except a popular carwash operates there now, the building untouched and uncared for.

After closure it became a McDonald’s for a while before closing again. The building now stands empty with the car park being used as a car wash
Look at it ithis way Bob ‘imitation is the sincerest form of flattery’. At least and unusualy for the Daily Mail and The Sun they published a true story. Noted as they are for their journalistic accuracy!!!
It wasn’t completely accurate though “devastated” and “having spent the best part of 40 years of drinking at the pub” are both exaggerations.
