Can you identify these men? Walsall Police would like to hear from you

There’s been a working number of distraction burglaries and bogus caller scams locally lately, which is why I’m drawing to readers attention this appeal by Walsall Police posted yesterday (Tuesday 12th March 2019) – it involves a distraction burglary in Well Lane Walsall, and Police need help identifying two men.

Do you recognise these men?

We are appealing for information following a distraction burglary at a house in Well Lane, Walsall at 3.45pm last Wednesday (6 March).

An elderly man opened the door of his house to two men saying they were there to buy a boat he was selling.

Once inside the property one of the men distracted him, while the other stole the safe from the living room.

They made off in a yellow Suzuki Wagon, displaying registration number Y276OFU. The registered keeper of the car is believed to have sold the vehicle shortly before the offence, and it has not been registered since.

Anyone with information can contact us, quoting crime reference 20WS/55914Z/19 via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, call 101 anytime or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

You can, as always, email me on BrownhillsBob at Googlemail dot com or give me a shout on social media in total confidence and I’ll pass any information on.

Thank you.
