I note that there’s been another fire in Brownhills this evening, following the one earlier in the week that occurred at the former Terrace Restaurant in Newtown, on the A5 – this evening (Thursday 27th October 2016) a fire seems to have taken place in a stable near the old trotting track off Whitehorse Road, Brownhills.

Scant information is available, but indications are that the incident was relatively minor although Whitehorse Road was closed for a period.

There is no suggestion of a link between the two incidents, but I’d wager the half term school holiday was common to both…

The Aldridge Fire Station feed tweeted at 9:23pm:

No injuries have been reported, and I’d like to express my thanks to the dedication of the Fire Service for keeping us safe.
