Brownhills Cradle Club needs you
Sessions are held every Wednesday morning in term time from 10.30-12.00 at Brownhills Library in the Parkview Centre, where babies can enjoy stories, rhymes and play in a safe and welcoming environment.
Babies have the chance to socialise with other babies of their own age and because the group is only for children under the age of 2, there is no chance of them getting disturbed by older children.
Parents and carers do not have to already be members of the library to attend although babies and pre-school children can join the Bookstart Bear Club and collect certificates for sharing stories.
They get their very own cuddly Bookstart Bear when they have collected 10 certificates.
For more information, telephone Brownhills Library on 01922 650730.
What camera do you use Bob, the photos are beautiful and clear, lovely.
Hi Edwina
Thanks for the kind words.
the camera I use is a compact Panasonic TZ40. I’ve used Panasonic cameras now for about 7 or 8 years – they are a little bit quirky, but have a huge zoom range and lots of neat features. They are also metal bodied, and really do cope with the use I give them.
Find out about them here: http://www.jessops.com/Directory/catalogue.ashx/$s=tz40?gclid=CImkk-ra9LoCFbLHtAod9XEAzg
When I take night photos, I use a small tripod and put the camera on timer.
Cheers
Bob
Thanks for that Bob, will have to take a look.
Hi, Thanks for alerting people to this. I do hope people use this type of facility, I know it’s wet and cold and miserable at the moment but from our own experience the kids really do benefit from such activities, and again from experience it’s sometimes one of the few occasions during the day that mum or dad can have a chance to chat with other adults!!!. My wife and I made good friends with a couple at a similar type of activity a good 20 years ago and we’re still friends with them now, why not give it a go? The kids will love it.
Peter.
