In a remarkable instance of coincidental timing, Walsall Police late this afternoon (Monday, 12th December 2016) published an appeal for witnesses over an armed robbery at the Card Factory shortchanged on the corner of Ravens Court in High Street Brownhills, that took place on Sunday 4th December 2016.
They said:
Police in Walsall are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at the Card Factory in Brownhills High Street on Sunday 4 December.
The suspect walked into the branch at 4.45pm and threatened a member of staff with a knife. He left on foot with a till. Officers are examining CCTV.
Detective Constable Deborah Humphries, from Walsall Police’s Investigation Team, said: ‘The suspect is a white man, aged between 35 and 40 and medium build. He was dressed in a beige coloured jacket, a woolly hat and gloves, and had stubble.
‘We know the offender left the store and walked across Ravens Court towards Tesco carrying the stolen till and we’d now like to hear from anyone who saw anything’.

If you know who this scumbag is, please dob them in to the police. Nobody should be threatened like that, and especially not in the course of their job. What a horrid thing to happen.
