Two injured in second Ogley Road crash in ten days

I’m sad to report that yesterday evening (Wednesday 21st December 2016) there was a serious road traffic incident on the Ogley Road at it’s junction with the Lichfield Road at Co-op Corner in Brownhills.

West Midlands Fire Service Bloxwich Red Watch attended the incident, and tweeted the above pictures and the following message:

Red Watch RTC Litchfield Rd Aldridge 2 cars involved 2 casualties to hospital via ambulance Lucky seatbelts being worn and airbags deployed.

An eyewitness reported one of the casualties was a lady believed to be in her fifties.

This is the second serious incident on the Ogley Road in ten days – there was a nasty hit and run near the junction with Warren Place last week, about which information is still being sought.

Thanks to the emergency services who dealt with this with their usual professionalism – you folks keep us safe and it’s very much appreciated.

Thanks to Mark Schnabel, Vicky Devine, Tim Jones, Jason Woodfield and iPhilip for help with this post.
