From Wtaerscape.com, I respectfully remind y’all about today’s…
“Don’t miss the Brownhills 6th Annual Canal Festival, taking place in rural Staffordshire.
This fantastic community event offers a wide range of canalside activities to suit the waterway enthusiast or budding newcomer. The entertainment is endless at this great family day out with live folk music, boat trips, arts and crafts stalls, and canoe activities.
The festival is open from 10am – 4pm and admission is free. For more information call Georgina Fereday on 01543 452 119.”
Apart from the fact that Brownhills isn’t particularly rural, and isn’t actually in Stafordshire, it’s a great day out… take the family and have a great time.
Sorry I can’t be there, I’ve been laid low with the ‘flu since Friday…
Hope the weather brightens up for Brownhills folk!
As to Staffordshire, in my view the Walsall area is still a part of that great county, after all how can you have a county whose council was abolished (WM)?
Blame Maggie Thatcher – I do for most things :O)
