The Ugly Duckling puppet show on today at Brownhills Library

Everyone loves a goof fairy tale…

Sorry – this is belated notice of a great kids puppet theatre event going on today (Tuesday 8th August 2017) at Brownhills Library at the Parkview Centre, just on the Miner Island – a wonderful free performance of the perennial kids favourite The Ugly Duckling.

I believe the event is free (but if not it won’t cost much at all), and just the thing if you’ve got a bored wean stuck in the house on this awful wet day. Performances are at 10:30an and 2:30pm.

Sea Legs puppet theatre are a high quality, small touring children’s theatre company based in Hereford. They perform in theatres, schools and children’s events nationwide.

Brownhills Library said:

Float downstream with the Story Man, in Sea Legs Puppet Theatre’s gentle, musical adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s classic tale of belonging and identity.

Meet a host of colourful characters, as they run the troubled duckling out of the farmyard into a cold, lonely wilderness. Journey through the seasons as the hapless creature finds his way in a hostile world.

But do not worry! In a grand musical finale to melt even the coldest of hearts, a happy ending awaits our humble hero.

Set on the banks of a magical river, brilliant storytelling, fantastic puppets and a delightful new musical score make this a must see show for little ones and their families.

Performances at 10.30 a.m and 2.30 p.m

The event is open to all, so why not pop along to the Park View Centre and experience the magic of the Ugly Duckling?
