In the early morning today (Saturday, 22nd October 2016) residents in Kingfisher Close, on the Watermead Estate, Brownhills were awoken by a car leaving the road and smashing through the wall of their garage.
West Midlands Fire Service personnel based at Aldridge attended the incident, which took place at 5:39am, and thankfully there were no casualties.
They posted the following on Twitter:

A car has been driven through the side of a garage in a suburban street, in what is perhaps the ultimate piece of poor parking.
The vehicle smashed into the brick building on Kingfisher Close, Brownhills, West Midlands, at at about 05:40 BST on Saturday.
The driver fled the scene, although police said they did not know if they were investigating what happened.
West Midlands Fire Service said no-one was in the garage at the time.
It said the garage’s structure has been “compromised” by the crash, but nobody was injured.
Police have recovered the car from the garage, and insurers for the property are assessing the damage.
The driver has not yet been traced.
