If you’re at a loose end this weekend…

If you’re looking for something to do today, and fancy an event that’s gentle, genteel and quintessentially British, you could do much worse than visit Hints Open gardens and Flower festival, at the pretty little village of Hints, on the old A5 near Tamworth. Find out about it here.

This year’s event will be on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th May 2009.

Entrance £3.50,  children free,  parking free,

Open from 11am –6pm both days.

Delicious refreshments served all day in the village hall.

Gardens are open to view throughout the village

Flower Festival to see in the village church; the theme this year is ‘A New Beginning’

W.Cs available.

They’ve had appalling weather for several years, and it’s nice to see they’ve got a good weekend. You might even bump into Brownhills Bob…
