However, old pal of the blog Barry Carpenter has posted that there’s been a serious RTA in Aldridge:

Massive RTA just now corner Anchor Meadow Leighswood Road. 31/07/2017 approx. 17.30 hrs please avoid if possible.

Late this afternoon Monday 31st July 2017, there has been a road traffic accident between two cars at the junction of Pelsall Road and Coppice Side, Brownhills.

Considerable delays are building up in the area, which is best avoided.

It appears that an Audi collided with a Vauxhall Meriva at the junction, hitting a telegraph pole in the process. This has caused a local loss of telephone and broadband connections.

Emergency services have been in attendance and there are not currently thought to be any serious injuries.
