Belinda Bedworth has been in touch to ask if anyone present on the above photo of Ogley Hay Girls School could get in touch as she’d love to organise a reunion.
Belinda didn’t give a date but I’d say this image is from the 1960s.

I am trying to find some girls (now ladies!) who went to Ogley Hay Girls School who will be or who now are 60 as we are trying to get a reunion.

It appears as though Mr Horton the Headmaster of Ogley Hay Junior school is in this picture, which suggests that this is a junior school class, although I think the building in the background is what was then the Senior Girls School. The picture looks to have been taken in the area where the swimming pool was built. I would guess this is the late 1960’s, possibly early 1970’s.

The girls’ school closed, building transferred to the junior school, when I was in my third year at the junior school, which was school year 1972-1973. We began the year in the old junior school building, but then moved across.
Bit late to comment on this, but I seem to remember a young female teacher called Miss Merry. Is this her next to Mr Horton? Would therefore be 1964 or 65 ish?
