Interrupting the radio silence…

Another fine work in a series of great books by Clive Roberts of this parish…

Hey up, folks – this was drawn to my attention today by the young David Evans – there’s a new local history book out right now priced at a pocket-pleasing fiver!

What a great present for those who like a little local reading…

It’s by popular author Clive Roberts of Walsall Wood, and I believe this to be his fifth or maybe sixth book. It’s packed with Clive’s usual mix of research, left of field local history, archive news items and photos, all in a friendly, conversational style – and runs out at 70 pages of fascinating stuff…

You can get it from Brownhills Library on the Tin Man Island – but be quick, as like all local history books, it’s published privately and when it’s gone, it’s gone!

Thanks to David for the tipoff, and thanks to Clive for another wonderful ramble into the past.

For folks wondering, the blog isn’t dead, it’s just hibernating until I have more time.
