Have you had mail go missing?

The new flats by Anchor Bridge: archive picture from 365 days.

I’ve been asked by a friend of the blog to make enquiries about an sensitive issue in the new flats recently built on Anchor Bridge opposite Knaves Court – apparently post is being stolen from mailboxes.

The reader in question has contacted the police and they are investigating the thefts, which have included birthday cards containing money, hospital appointment letters and so forth.

Residents should know that mailboxes in communal areas are being dipped, and this seems to have been ongoing for a while – Walsall Housing Group and Royal Mail have also been notified, but we’d like to warn other residents and ask if they could get in touch if they’ve had mail go missing too, please?

If you know who’s been doing this, or have seen anything suspicious, please do contact West Midlands Police by dialling 101 or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Thanks. You can comment here or mail me in absolute confidence: BrownhillsBob at Googlemail dot com. Cheers.
