Beware folks – roadworks with temporary lights causing delays in Walsall Wood

Walsall Wood High Street – could be tricky today. Archive image from 365days.

Thanks to the press folks at Walsall Council for flagging this one up this afternoon – sadly I’m only just able to post it on the blog, but there will be temporary traffic signals operating on the A461 Walsall Wood High Street today (Thursday, 27th July 2017).

They will be functional by 9:30am and will continue throughout the day, for as long as they are needed to allow an emergency culvert repair.

I’m not sure how or if this work will impact the resurfacing going on here at nights currently, but it’s good to see them digging it up before, not after the new surface is laid.

It’s possible delays will be caused to peak time journeys, so if you can avoid the area on the way home, it’s suggested you do so.

Sorry for the late notice.

Hot off the press unit at Walsall Council.

Bit chaotic in wood at present, not installed traffic lights yet but working on culvert down to one lane of traffic

Resurfacing in high street not done Wednesday night possibly due to culvert problem.
