First half and the Wood celebrate their first, of seven goals. Strewth.
The final whistle blows and players to a man shake hands with their colleagues and opponents. This has been a super display of sporting soccer, played on a beaufitully lush real grass A game and club to remember.
Later on , second half, and the Wood turn up the heat, and score another goal as they again cut through Pershore defence to leave their unfortunate keeper high and dry.
Later in the second half and Pershore score their first goal. Home supporters take to their feet to shout and cheer their team. Love it!
Second half. Substitution time and applause by all the spectators whose positive appreciation and contribution made the afternoon joyful and memorable. It was noticeable that good play was applauded by all the spectators.
Second half and more substitutions. Time for fresh legs.
Pershore celebrate in some style. Happy faces all, and then its back to work. Some time to go yet.

First half and Pershore mount an attack on the Wood. So near and yet…
Second half and the dynamic duo engage in a leaping contest all of their own, with the River Avon in the distance. A picture.
Second half and an illustration of the pace and determination that graced the entire contest this afternoon. Splendid soccer, and a goal feat, too.
Early in the first half and the Wood break through Pershore defence. Goal!
A goodly crowd of eager supporters sat sitting in the stand, while others clutched the rails.

Later in the second half and Pershore have a spring in tier step and renewed effort is apparent.
Celebration time again. Second half, and the team exude confidence and sheer delight when they score a goal. Spirit, indomitable spirit
Walsall Wood played in red. On real, green grass and under a blue sky that brightened and gladdened every heart a fine sporting contest was about to start. Deep joy.
Wood were soon in control, but Pershore tried to make a game of it. This mighty clearance kick set the scene. Real soccer, in every sense.
First half and the Wood are airborne !

For me no 9 was a star player. Strong, keen, accurate and eager. Gave the Wood an interesting time
Later in the second half. Lost count now.
A beautifully sunny afternoon, a beautiful setting, very pleasant, welcoming local supporters and a match to remember.
Later in the first half. Its that man again! Third goal to the Wood as some Pershore shoulder drop. How will they respond?
The crowds go away, or go in to the bar and the nets are rolled away until the next match. Walsall Wood won, seven goals to one. Soccer was also the winner this afternoon.
Pershore on the attack again to try to draw level. First half
Swift passing by the Wood created waves of attacking moves in both halves. This was early in the first half and Pershore’s keeper takes up position. Ominous moment.
Celebration time, again. And yet, some creatively individualistic play by some Pershore did create some captivating moments. In the stand no beer was spilled, though.
Second half and again Pershore defence is shattered by a smooth attacking move by the Wood. No keeper can defend in these circumstances, but there were some very fine saves made by him during the match
Second half and Pershore need to score a goal now. Come on Pershore is the rallying cry from the stand.
Second half, and two players who could just not keep away from each other. Not sure if they did exchange shirts after the match ended,
Some beautiful play and delicious tussles gave a soupcon of drama and spice to the wondrous doings
Later in the first half. Was it a goal linesman? Yes. The ball is in the back of the net.

Yesterday (Saturday 14th April 2018) Walsall Wood FC travelled down the motorway to the King George Playing Field Ground to face Pershore Town – and continued their run of goof form, beating the visitors decisively four nil.
David Evans was there to witness a great match, and wrote:

A superb display of smooth, controlled soccer again by Walsall Wood rejoicing at playing on real, lush grass.
Pershore tried hard but, in all honesty, were outplayed for nearly all of the match, and in every department, too. There was very little frustration or petulance shown in the face of the mighty Wood soccer machine in full steam, but the good crowd of home and away supporters were treated to some masterly football, including an overhead scissor kick/goal by one of the Wood team.
Look out, Ronaldo, kid.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday last (10th April 2018), Walsall Wood FC faced Coventry Copsewood at Oak Park: In very poor conditions, Walsall Wood beat the visitors 6-0.
