Over the past couple of days, I’ve noticed a work of street-art developing on the hoarding around the building site at Anchor Bridge, where the Housing-21 extra care development is being built. I don’t know a great deal about it – there’s an attribution at the Anchor Bridge end to Walsall Youth Arts, but I’ll return when I can and find out more (and hope the light is a tad better!). I photographed the whole piece quickly whilst passing, but some pictures we so poor as to be unusable. The work is typical street art, and is bright, vibrant and witty. It’s well executed and really noticeable – well done to the artists and whoever thought up this creative project. If you’re involved, or know more about it, please drop me a line.
It’s nice to see people working with kids to achieve something – all we seem to do these days is slag our youth off. My heart and best wishes go out to you, and congratulations on bringing a splash of welcome colour to a dull corner of our town.
Working from left to right (I know there are gaps!):
